Purchasing Windows 7 for the 10 upgrade
Purchasing Windows 7 for the 10 upgrade
I'm thinking about getting another computer this September. I was unsure whether to upgrade to 10, but it looks like the best choice for the future. On Amazon I checked the Windows 7 page and saw it mentioned you could buy it for the upgrade, but you need to reserve it before a year has passed since its release. After reading reviews, many people reported issues and it seemed questionable. Has anyone actually tried this switch? What do you think about moving from 7 to 10?
Just open Windows 7 and run the installer from there. No extra steps needed.
You haven't received the chance to upgrade to Windows 10 via QQ on Windows 8.1 yet.
I believe you're mixing up the installation utility with the booking system. The reservation tool only gives a sense of satisfaction by "reserving" the operating system, but it doesn't actually perform any real upgrades. The installation tool, on the other hand, compels the computer to upgrade itself.
I secured my Windows 10 upgrade on a non-authentic Windows 8.1 version. Purchased an official key from my university, which had been unavailable for some time, then used the Control Panel to switch the product key and completed the upgrade without issues.
