Purchased several components including a R7 2700 and multiple GPUs after mining. I have two RX 470 and one 3060 Ti. The KFA2 3060 Ti EX is failing (no image, full fan speed, PC won’t shut down unless PSU is changed). In dual-GPU configuration, the 3060 still crashes but the PC handles it. Setting 60% PL and core frequency to 422MHz stops the crashes. Occasionally it crashes right after booting, sometimes it runs a few minutes of FurMark if not capped in afterburner. Performance is decent compared to older GPUs, but knowing the system struggles makes me uneasy. What might be causing this? Is it VRM failure or something else? Temperature readings are normal (under 60°C and 140°F), so it’s unlikely overheating. Hope it’s a VRM issue rather than core or memory problems.

This might actually be due to faulty thermal pads. A fresh replacement could be worthwhile. Alternatively, you might need to run a different mining BIOS rather than the original KFA2, which can cause problems at standard speeds. Many mining BIOS require an undervolt and some kind of throttling to achieve optimal performance.

Thanks for your reply. The pads might be inactive. I’m not confident it’s BIOS-related—it seems to fail even when using a desktop setup, especially without power limits or clock reduction. Both RX470s appear to have custom firmware installed, which explains the lack of display.

//www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/257372/257372. The same applies to your RX470—you can replace them with a compatible BIOS for their models. I recommend starting there since they are reliable. If flashing fails, you can purchase an affordable BIOS flasher to resolve the problem.

It's now obvious. Attempted to send one of the RX through the system but it didn't work—possibly I made a mistake, so I'll try again. How do I collaborate with a programmer? And do you think this was a good offer? R7 2700x, RTX and two RX for 140?
