PC specifications: Ryzen 7 7800X3D Gigabyte x670 Aorus Elite AX. Operating system: f10a. RAM: 64GB, 2x32GB DDR5, Corsair Vengeance 5200MHZ. Expo SSD: 2TB, Crucial P3 Plus cooler. PCIe optimized. I built this system myself for heavy 3D rendering and gaming. After installation, I realized my CPU didn’t reach full speed and was consuming too much power. It stuck at 4.8GHz with 0.9V and 70W thermal throttling at 85°C. I tried repositioning the cooler, but the issue persisted. After several adjustments to BIOS and PBO settings—limiting VSOC to 1.2V instead of default—I still didn’t see improvement. Current performance: PBO all cores -20, manual PPT 140, TDC 135, EDC 170, VSOC 1.2V. Cinebench R23 achieved 17,060 points all cores during a 10-minute thermal throttle test at 85°C.

Displays 5.04ghz in the top row, which is the standard boost frequency. 4.84ghz under full-core usage is typical.

That's correct, but it lasts under a second.

Supports up to 5ghz for single core tasks. When using multiple cores for activities like gaming or 3d work, you'll experience all-core boost performance.

I might be a bit stubborn, but that doesn’t feel right. Looking around, many people run 5GHz on all cores for extended periods. It’s not just one person—it’s a lot of users, and mine is stuck at 4.8GHz most of the time, often running hot.

It's straightforward, you require a superior cooler.

Apologies for the mistake. You're correct, the core 4 and 8 settings are typical without overclocking. My performance doesn't match everyone's expectations.
