I'm searching for a fresh FPS during the current winter sales, and I'm curious which of these two you'd suggest. I haven't discovered a Battle Royal title yet, though I've mostly played free-to-play games like CS:GO and Fortnite, and I did enjoy BF1 while it was available. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

BFV's Battle Royale is still in development, so the current mode isn't available yet. If you're unsure which one to pick, I'm not sure either, because I don't play PUBG and I'm not keen on it. However, I've enjoyed BFV a lot with my boyfriend, his brother, and our mutual friend.

I've been playing PUGBG from the start. I've witnessed its successes and its shortcomings. With 3000 hours, it remains my favorite game.

The previous time I logged into PUBG was chaotic, the servers were slow, and there was a major hacking issue involving their Chinese management. On the flip side, BFV is owned by EA, so you can choose what you want.

I’d choose BFV since it provides significantly more content and variety for your budget.
Of course, there are still some bothersome bugs, but considering how past Battlefield games have evolved, those issues should be resolved eventually. There have also been notable improvements—like the squad revives which enhance teamwork, the reduced need to hide in grass or bushes due to major nerfs, and the new maps that deliver a diverse mix of close and distant combat.
