Hi, I own a solid gaming PC. I'm experiencing terrible frames in PUBG, usually around 30fps. I don't know the cause. A friend with a similar setup but an RX 480 achieves 70+ fps consistently, even during gameplay. This issue happens throughout the match, not just in the lobby. I've got the latest driver update and it's a fresh Windows install.

The game demands a lot from the CPU, and the 8320 isn't among the top choices for gaming performance.

It seems anyone on a mid-range device achieving solid FPS in PUBG would be quite impressive.

8320 isn't ideal. Plus, PUBG's performance is weak and relies a lot on your slow CPU.

Check your system settings (profile, not under post). You’re experiencing drops from 144 FPS to 30-40 FPS every few seconds, making the game difficult to play. In Arma 3 you have a stable 25 FPS, which is much better. Both games are CPU-heavy and need optimization. There’s little you can do about it.

I understand the 8320 isn't the top choice. I'm focusing on extending its performance. My system has been built around a 3-year-old setup—RAM, CPU, and motherboard all that age. It's odd my old GPU handled PUBG well, giving me around 40fps with a GTX 960 2GB.

You're not using a surround sound setup? Your 1060 at 1440p still manages around 70 fps even with the same configurations as theirs.

At AMD it's referred to as "Eye Infinity" but I personally don't use it. It doesn't meet my preferences.

Or reduce the frame rate to prevent it from dropping, hehe
