Hey everyone - as mentioned in the title, I'm experiencing severe stuttering in PUBG. I'm playing on medium-high settings and consistently exceed 100 FPS.
My system specs are well within the capabilities for smooth gameplay: 3950x, 64GB dominator platinum, and a gigabyte 2080 ti waterforce.
I recorded a video showing the stuttering (very noticeable between 1:30 and 1:50).
As you can observe here, the frame times (measured with RTSS) are inconsistent.
Additional observations:
- I have gsync enabled along with a gsync monitor, ASUS ROG PG348... this issue persists even when it's disabled.
- I attempted to set the FPS limiter to 100, but it didn't make a difference.
- I'm not overclocking either the CPU or GPU.
- Both borderless and fullscreen modes caused the same problems.
- Monitoring CPU and GPU usage shows they stay around 8-12% and 90-95%, respectively.
- Temperatures remain stable at 55-60°C during gameplay, thanks to the water cooling setup.
- Reducing the game quality to low didn't resolve the problem.
I'm struggling to find a solution and would really appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Consider turning off Fast Startup in Windows and restart the computer afterward. Additionally, test it by enabling Game Mode both on and off while disabling the Game Bar and Xbox DVR.

Fast Startup

I usually turn it off because I frequently face problems with stuttering in games when it's active, though it isn't always the main reason.
Other adjustments can be made through the Settings panel by clicking the Start menu.

I'm struggling to find the right words. One of those two solutions really worked! Thanks a lot.
