Hey everyone! Just checking in about what a good PSU looks like these days. I’ve been using a Corsair CX750m bronze and want to upgrade to a gold-rated 850-watt unit. Any suggestions would be really helpful. Also, any info on price ranges or brands to steer clear of? Thanks!

Generally ATX 3.0 power supplies work well.
Corsair RM850e, RM850x, and Shift models are solid options.
Older RM850x models are acceptable, but you might need a Type 4 12VHPWR (600W) cable for later Nvidia cards.
MSI MAG 850W is a good pick.
Thermaltake GX3 or GF A3 are also reliable.
ASUS offers several ATX 3.0 models from Seasonic; be quiet! Their Pure Power 12 series is another option.
Seasonic has a selection of models as well.
Recent ASUS, Lian Li, and Silverstone PSUs feature the new PCIe 12 pin cable, supporting up to 675W and featuring improved design for secure connections.

In addition to the above, Super Flower are good PSUs. SF are an OEM so naturally their own stuff is good.
This is a good overwies (not authoritative though, just for reference) -
https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
https://hwbusters.com/
- bust many many PSUs. Good info there.
Edit - Watch out for the ATX 3.0 stuff. Might be a short lived standard if it's replaced by ATX 3.1 soon.
If you don't need ATX 3.0 or 3.1, then ignore it.

Currently, I'm employing two distinct PCI-E cables connected to the adapter included with my 40 series card. That's perfectly acceptable for me.

Wow, this looks really good and the cost is fair. I'm just curious about what's involved.

Not really a catch, but multiple rail PSUs can get overwhelmed by powerful GPUs or i9/KS models. Are you designing something like that? Probably not, since you'd likely need a 1200-1600W power supply. For regular 850W use, it works fine.

I’m aiming for a stronger PSU with extra capacity and also moving to the gold rating.
