What processor are you running? For a mid-range powered chip, the extra four-pin isn't necessary—just an eight-pin would suffice. The eight-pin can handle more than 200 watts continuously. You're free to leave the four-pin unused, though it might be better to move it slightly away from the motherboard for safety.

You can eliminate the four-pin connector on the motherboard for a more streamlined appearance and fewer cables. Of course, you can keep it if preferred. Personally, I opt for an overclocked 9800X3D with just one 8-pin connector—this setup can handle power needs for two 9800X3Ds easily. Great CPU!
