Psu confusion?
Psu confusion?
Hello! I'm planning to purchase a new PSU (PURE POWER 12 M 750W).
My current unit is DN500, and I'm replacing my 1060 with the MSI 3070 OC.
I checked the PSU specs—it has one PCIe 5.0 and one PCIe E slot.
It mentions a 600-watt rating below it, but I think that's not necessary since I already have a good PSU.
I also heard I might need two separate PCI cables for most RTX models, but the PSU only has one simple PCIe slot.
Is using just one PCIe slot okay? Also, is it normal for a PCIe cable to be split into two, or is that problematic?
I'm also confused about whether I still need a second PCI connector for the RTX series to function properly. Should I consider buying a different PSU?
Thanks in advance!
