I built my new system using a 4060ti and a Ryzen 5 7600. My power supply is the rm850x, but during gaming, when the GPU usage exceeds 110W, I experience a low-pitched grinding noise, known as coil whine. I considered switching to another PSU, tried a straight 11 650W gold model, which eliminated the noise, and also experimented with an old 550w bronze (non-modular) unit, which didn’t produce any. I’m curious if others know other PSUs worth trying. Based on my experience, the two modular units had coil whine, while the non-modular one was quiet—could this be more typical for modular designs? Thanks.
