Psu is part of a series A55 550w PSU.
It has been running for roughly 7 months and about 2 weeks, and recently the PSU began producing an unusual buzzing noise from it.

Just to clarify, the ratings like Bronze, Gold, Platinum don't reflect overall quality. The plus-80 ratings mainly highlight performance. Still, from a quality standpoint, the new PSU should definitely improve upon the previous one.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's important to provide your complete system details. Please format them as follows:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Also include the age of the PSU. The specifications will help determine if it's providing adequate power for your system. Note that this unit isn't constructed with top-tier components. You might want to imagine rolling an A4 sheet into a cylinder and holding one end to your ear while listening for the noise. You could be dealing with coil whine, which is usually undesirable.
Since you shared this in the overclocking section, I'm interested to know what kind of overclock you've applied on the platform.

things it could be...
potential issues include fan blades touching wire or other components, vibrations in laminated core transformers or inductors (these are uncommon), a relay with chattering sounds, and submitting a sound file or video if needed.

The new PSU significantly improves upon the previous model, which was quite a subpar regulated unit. This makes for a very satisfactory outcome!

It was fairly effective, though it relied on an outdated voltage control technique that's no longer common in contemporary power supplies. The current model is a more advanced design.
