In short, I'm replacing the CPU cooler and power supply, with a total of three 120mm fans, a Corsair carbide case, a VS650w PSU, a GTX 970, an i5 4690k at 3.5 Ghz, a 1TB HDD, all connected to my GA-Z9ZP-D3 Gigabyte board. I'm considering a Hydro H80i GT 120mm and upgrading the PSU to an EVGA 750w 80+ Bronze. Will this work? What overclocking potential exists? Any advice would be appreciated.

It sounds ideal, I basically have the same setup but with a slightly worse cooler—[email protected], xfx pro 750w. It runs smoothly at 1.225v, never goes over 60°C during games, and the maximum stable OC was around 4.8ghz at 1.3v, though it got a bit hot. If you target 4.4-4.5, you'll enjoy nice temperatures and no bottlenecks while gaming. Good luck!

It sounds perfect, i have basicly the same system with a "worse" cooler, [email protected], xfx pro 750w it's completely stable at 1.225v and never exceeds 60C while gaming, max stable OC was at 4.8ghz 1.3v but it was getting a bit hot. If you aim for 4.4-4.5 you'll have very nice temps and 0 bottlenecking for gaming, good luck!
