PSU 620w bronze is enough?
PSU 620w bronze is enough?
Hi everyone, just checking if my PSU can support overclocking the CPU.
I already bought this PC setup, but the PSU is still undecided. I'm on a budget right now.
Specs: Gigabyte Z170-X Gaming 5, Core i5-6600K, CM Hyper 212x cooler, GIGABYTE GTX 970 xtreme gaming edition OC, G.skill Ripjaws v red DDR4 (2x4GB) 8GB, 1 WD Caviar HDD, Samsung 850 EVO, PSU Seasonic M12II-620 Evo 80+ Full Modular bronze.
If I want to push the CPU to 4.5GHz, does my 620W bronze PSU handle it?
Thanks in advance.
(Sorry for my unclear English)
I possess a nearly matching build, boosted to 4.4, and it functions well with the 520-watt PSU. A 620 would perform flawlessly while providing ample margin.
Sure, the PSU should manage that overclock and all the other tasks in that setup.
This PSU is capable of handling SLI as well, it's a solid one, ranked tier 2 on Tom's list.
