PSA Gigabyte x570 Gaming X Motherboard troubleshooting guide for crashes
I’m just starting out on the forums, so I’m sure I’m in the right section. Recently my PC has been experiencing random crashes and I was trying to figure out what’s causing them. At first I thought it was a power problem, since it happened when playing music through my studio monitors using Amazon Music or Spotify. I switched to a new power strip and rewired everything, but the issue persisted. I won’t go through all the software and hardware checks because the list would be too long, and I’m sharing my solution here because I couldn’t find anyone mentioning it online as a possible fix.
SOLUTION: The motherboards BIOS was version F1 and the current is version F3. I tried updating the BIOS, but it kept failing. The fix was to upgrade to version F2 and then to BIOS version F3. Now everything is working smoothly with Windows 11. I hope this helps if you’ve faced a similar problem recently.
