I noticed the PS4 graphics are essentially running PCs in ultra settings. On BF4, the PS4 can run at 60 FPS smoothly, while a GTX 760 performs better but only at 45-50 FPS. Why the difference?

Included in what dexter mentioned. He is right that there are many more elements in the background and a great deal more complex programming and features. Gaming consoles are designed solely for playing games, whereas PCs are not.

Hi,
You can't compare both. The PS4 doesn't offer video options like the PC; it's designed to run games at full power (PS4 maximum settings). PC gaming, on the other hand, deals with varying memory, CPU, and other factors.

Added to what dexter mentioned. He is right; there are indeed more complex elements and a lot more running in the background for PCs compared to gaming consoles, which are specifically made for games. Gaming consoles aren't designed for that purpose.
Thanks both of you. This really confused me. It got on my nerves and I decided to ask some experts. I don’t really like the fact that my PC can’t run at 60 on BF4, but I know it’s one of the most challenging games to play. Will it look different when running at higher settings?

What dexter mentioned is accurate. He’s right that there are more elements in pcs, along with more complex coding and additional features. Gaming consoles are built just for playing games, unlike personal computers.

Thanks both of you. This really puzzled me and I reached out to experts. I’m not too fond of the fact my pc struggles to run at 60 on BF4, but I know it’s one of the toughest titles. Will it look the same at higher settings?

Try it yourself and see! There’s no clear way to describe exactly how something looks or sounds. The only sure way to understand the difference is by testing the settings yourself.

Added to what dexter mentioned. He’s right—there are more complex systems and coding in gaming consoles compared to PCs, which aren’t designed just for games.
Thanks both of you. This really puzzled me and I reached out to experts. I’m not too fond of the fact that my PC struggles at 60 FPS on BF4, but I know it’s one of the tougher titles. Will it be similar at higher settings?
Try it yourself and see! You can’t truly describe visuals or sound differences—only by testing different settings will you understand the impact.
OK dokie, I don’t own the game yet but I’ll get it this Christmas. I’ve been checking benchmarks. Thanks for your time and help.

the ps4 is running battlefield at medium to high settings, but it's not close to the maximum levels.
