Provide full details about the IP port forwarding issue.
The information provided doesn't relate to port forwarding. Opening a port exposes it to the entire internet. I'm here to assist, but it seems you're not interested in using this against me.
Your issue comes from misunderstanding how the box should be filled. It should contain the final digits of your IP address, not a full network. For instance, if your LAN is 111.111.11.1, you’d type 1 or 001. If it’s 192.168.1.240, just enter 240. The router recognizes your internal setup automatically. This clarification should help.
Hello everyone, I’m sorry to be here with this thread, but after facing the same problem as the original poster and not finding a reply on this site, I discovered an article from cfos.de that clarifies the steps. Basically, the Xiaomi router only needs the last octet of the IP address, not the full host information. For instance, if your port forward device is at 192.168.1.69, the router only requires the ‘69’ in the input field since the first three octets are already provided. I hope this assists anyone else encountering this issue, as it’s the only reference that appears when searching for this problem. I’ve attached a screenshot from the cfos.de page as a reference.
