I'm looking for antivirus solutions that offer an interactive firewall feature, similar to what you're using with Avg.

ESET Smart security is something I only discovered after trying it—it really works! Right now, I’m just using Malwarebytes.

Most of these options require turning off a certain "smart firewall" setting in the menu to enable the interactive protection. For a firewall mimicking AVG, simply request it once per software, as I've observed. Norton Security handles this very well, performing similarly in independent tests—though Symantec had a hand in the process. Kaspersky prompts twice for web access if you enable it, but only after disabling the smart firewall. Bitdefender asks once like Norton and AVG, but consistently crashes on my system every time I try it, so I won't suggest it. I understand it functions for others, but I'm puzzled as to why it didn't work for me. I've tested it on three computers at home, none worked. The others haven't been tried yet.

You're just beginning to use Norton Internet Security, and it offers this protection feature. I can share some screenshots if you'd like.

On the firewallS (multiple instances), I use a physical device, whereas the Windows version comes as a software solution.
