I confirm Task Manager and program configurations are disabled or off. I ensure everything closes properly before powering down. Some applications remain open at startup, varying by program—Spotify, Chrome, Bittorrent, Discord. This began after a manual Windows update. For clarity, Google didn’t return results, likely due to a recent change. Task manager settings seem to be the main issue. Registry adjustments might help. Operating system version: 1709 16299.192

Launch the configuration window. Enter "MSCONFIG" and press enter. Check the Startup section for problematic applications.

You're directed to the Task Manager, but it seems all features are turned off. Just the essential applications are allowed to launch when starting up via Task Manager.

Ensure the Startup folder is located within the Programs directory in both your personal start menu and the system's Program Data.

You have files in two locations, but neither folder contains any content yet.

Remove both Startup directories in both places. Restart the machine and navigate to each site, then make a new folder named "Startup". Restart once more. Check MSConfig and verify the startup section shows active items.

MSconfig displays the same information, but it seems to fail every time I try to launch the system, so there must be a fix. Temporarily.

Stay informed, as it seems the issue remains uncertain rather than fully resolved.
