Is there a solution that lets you manage desktops via a server on the same local network? You're looking for remote shutdown capabilities, especially for machines running Debian, all connected together.

A) Set up virtual versions of the required systems so they can activate when needed while keeping the server running.
B) Purchase an IPKVM; I only suggest devices that work with PiKVM, as alternatives like BliKVM are unreliable.

I noticed information about IPKVM, though I’m not sure if it’s what we require. It seems it might allow us to turn off the physical servers via the server side. I also looked for PiKVM to purchase locally, but it appears they’re not available in Brazil.

They offer Pi and similar boards in Brazil. It’s a straightforward project that works with various single-board computers, just need the appropriate adapter.

You can install the KVM OS on your Raspberry Pi 3 or 4 directly. (Find details at https://www.robocore.net/placa-raspberry...y-pi-4-4gb) and https://docs.pikvm.org/v1/ https://docs.pikvm.org/v2. Doing it yourself may require more effort, but it ensures you get exactly what you need without overspending.

I understand, a Raspberry Pi is great, but a KVM isn't the right fit. We're looking for a method to manage our computers via software, similar to how LANs work. My earlier message wasn't clear enough.

You seem to need clearer details about your request. It appears you're looking for more specifics regarding the WOL setting, possibly on a local network.

In Brazil, LAN houses are similar to cybercafés but centered around gaming. They charge a fee for time and offer computers for use. My coworker noticed in the past that once you stayed past closing time (11 pm), the machines would shut down automatically. We aimed to create a system that could do the same.

You're looking to remotely power off or restart multiple computers. I'm not aware of a specific app for that, but you might find solutions through system tools or automation scripts. Another possibility is using a group policy editor with scheduling features. Let me know if you'd like more details!

I believe options similar to this might suit your needs, though I understand we’re not using Windows Server so ADDS isn’t available. ChatGPT suggested several alternatives, which I can review for effectiveness. Do you recognize any of these tools as reliable? ManageEngine Desktop Central provides full endpoint management, handling policies, software updates, and remote control from a single interface. Specops Software offers strong options for password management and group policy enforcement across different OS types. PolicyPak is designed for managing Group Policy on non-domain systems, enabling policy deployment and application control. Quest (formerly ScriptLogic) Desktop Authority delivers endpoint management with scripting and automation features tailored for Windows. NetIQ ZENworks covers policy management, software distribution, and asset tracking for multiple operating systems. PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory assist in software rollout and inventory, supporting configuration and policy handling on Windows devices. Microsoft Intune manages mobile and PC devices via a cloud platform, focusing on policy enforcement and compliance. VMware Workspace ONE consolidates management tasks like policy control, app deployment, and device oversight across diverse environments.
