I updated my PC case today and most things are functioning, except for the HDD. The SSD is working fine, but webpages are loading slowly and overall performance feels reduced compared to before. I’ve reset the RAM which helped a bit, but it’s still not ideal. Now I’m experiencing CPU overheating warnings when I restart the system.

Likely a cooler got too hot. Just remove it, wipe off the old paste, apply fresh paste, and reattach. Don’t use it until it’s cooled down. By the way, where were you coming from and where are you headed?

I started with a Fractal define me sift C, but I had to switch to something else since my 3080 wouldn’t fit. I ended up getting a Phanteks P600, which is much bigger.

If the temperatures are too high, it might mean your cooler setup is off. Remove the cooler, wipe away old thermal paste, apply new paste, then reattach it carefully. Tighten all screws evenly and check for dust. If you don’t have any thermal paste left, consider buying a product like Noctua NT-H2 for about $12. Always use fresh thermal paste during reinstallation to maintain good temperatures.

You managed to secure a case with significantly reduced airflow, which also affects performance. However, I think the cooler that was bumped up should be replaced with fresh paste and a new mount.

The P600S performs well in high-performance mode when the front panel acoustic panel is taken off.

That's accurate. I often overlook its capacity to do that.
