This price range doesn't seem to suit any laptop options available. It would only be worth considering if you raised your budget by around $300 to $400.

The 400$ surface go isn’t suitable for practical use. It lacks the necessary performance with only 4gb of RAM, which isn’t enough for smooth Windows 10 operation. The 64gb storage is mostly occupied by the OS, making it inefficient. EMMC drives are extremely slow for Windows 10 and can degrade device performance. The Pentium processor is essentially equivalent to a mid-range laptop from 2010. For better value, consider a used ultrabook or 2-in-1 device that offers a smoother mobile experience. Also, Windows 10 isn’t ideal on touchscreens, so you might want to avoid that unless it fits your needs.

You can find used Thinkpads like the L380 or L480 for about $300, especially if they have an i5 8250U. Alternatively, consider Dell Latitude e7470 or similar laptops with 8th Gen i5 processors such as the 8250U or 8350U.

Our latest suggestions are already quite solid, so stick with that. The base model performs almost like a waste. If you're after a tablet, an iPad would be better.

Are there alternative Microsoft choices? You don’t need a tablet, and the hardware should match an i3 or Ryzen 3 since those can definitely handle Minecraft on Windows 10.
