The WMI provider server is running slowly compared to what I normally experience. It's not excessively busy, but it consistently uses 1-3% CPU with a steady idle rate, while the CPU usage spikes occasionally after startup or updates. My Bitdefender antivirus subscription was recently renewed, yet my PC restarts because it claims advanced protection is disabled. Could this be a virus interfering with my system or just Windows and Bitdefender behaving oddly? My computer is my way to relax and play games; I don’t want anything to damage it.

'idle usage' isn't quite accurate. At the lowest clock speeds, the CPU performs very slowly, which means even simple background activities can consume a lot of resources. Therefore, actual resource consumption may be higher than expected, though it becomes less important once the clock speed reaches idle levels.
