Hey there, I’m here to help you with your PC building project. You’re planning to build a rig for high-end gaming and have some questions to clarify:

1. For the GTX 1070, which processor should you choose—i7-4790k, i7-6700k, or i7-5820k? Also, you mentioned setting up a 2-way SATA drive for the GTX 1070.
2. Should you opt for a 1080p 144Hz monitor or a 1440p 144Hz monitor? Also, I was thinking you might want a 1080p display initially and upgrade later to a 4K 120Hz monitor if needed.
3. I’d like recommendations for good monitors in those categories.
4. For coolers, liquid or air options, and motherboards, could you suggest some solid choices?
5. Lastly, any tips on PC building and useful resources to explore?

Don’t worry if you’re new—just follow what feels right for your setup. Thanks!

1. A 4th or 6th generation i5 or i7 would suffice.
2. I’d choose a 144hz 1440p if possible; you wouldn’t need two 1080p 1070s.
3. Here’s the most affordable 144hz 1440p monitor

4. The CRYORIG H5 is the top value for performance now.

I believe a single 1070 would work for a 1080p screen, but could a pair of 1070s handle 4K at 120hz?
