I own a Ryzen 5 5600X with an H100i elite capilix cooler that has been reliable for about eight to nine months. Recently, I noticed the idle temperatures on my desktop consistently surpassing 50 degrees, which is typical for most games but now often hitting higher than usual. Although the CPU load remains low and the clock speed is at its maximum, this situation has caught me off guard. I’m not a tech expert, so I’m unsure if this is normal or causing the problem. If anyone has insights or solutions, I would really appreciate it.
That’s not how Ryzen functions—spiking to 50 is completely typical and your PC isn’t idle during that. Sorry, but I’m not sure you’re seeing anything unusual since you didn’t mention any problems. To be honest, 50c isn’t a cause for concern. Let’s discuss when it reaches 90; otherwise, share a screenshot of the monitoring software so we can better understand what’s happening.
