Hello, your recent purchase of the Ryzen 9 3900X is in good hands. The stock cooler isn’t performing as expected, which is why you’re experiencing inconsistent temperatures. The fan keeps running at high speeds, raising idle temps significantly. Despite the TDP being 95W, the actual power draw during normal operation is often around 30W. When stress testing, the peak reaches 73°C, which seems reasonable for a stock cooler. Your concern about CPU lifespan is valid—excessive heat can indeed affect longevity. Consider checking the cooler’s fit and ensuring proper airflow to stabilize temperatures.

Don't worry about short breaks. As long as your temperatures are stable, everything is fine. (They're actually great) Your CPU will operate at 1.2V-1.5V when idle on a 3rd generation Ryzen. Install the Ryzen Master and set the maximum peak voltage to roughly 1.35-1.375V. This might improve idle performance.

Windows handling tasks quietly in the background, adding a smooth heat effect. All temperatures are just fine.

Follow standard procedures. Make sure your BIOS and chipset drivers are current for optimal performance. Your temperatures are excellent!

I'm ready once your water cooler is delivered. That should stop the fan from turning on repeatedly.
