Is your 9900k running between 4.5 and 4.6ghz when idle? That range seems unusual.
NZXT's tools fail to monitor idle time and often misinterpret data. For precise system insights, use Ryzen Master or HWiNFO. Avoid relying on NZXT's visual reports.
It relies on the processes running in the background and foreground, along with the power-saving options active or inactive. For my setup, I chose the 'Balanced' plan, which causes frequent changes—like switching between 800 MHz, 4.3 GHz, and 2.5 GHz. Switching to 'High Performance' gives more consistency, staying around 4.2GHz to 4.3 GHz. The CPU usage stays near 2% to 5%.
