Processing high memory consumption.
Good evening. I recall playing League of Legends with my sister earlier, and the game caused significant lag on my PC. After closing Mozilla Firefox, the issue improved, but once I started light browsing without heavy background processes, around 8GB of RAM was still consumed. Is this typical? I've attached my Task Manager data—at that time I used about 2GB with Firefox and nearly 1GB with NVIDIA Broadcast. That still means roughly 6.5GB was active even when idle. Any advice would be helpful. Some articles suggest Windows can manage this, but it didn’t allocate RAM efficiently during the game, almost causing a crash. Thanks.
Firefox is experiencing intermittent memory leaks in recent updates, causing unpredictable RAM usage. Which website were you viewing when this happened?
I'm checking the extensions I've added, but I'm not installing many. Even if I remove 2GB, having 6GB of RAM when idle seems reasonable for a 16GB device.
For comparison, my Win10 LTSC Enterprise uses about 1.7GB when idle, while my Windows 9 runs at 6.19GB under heavy load. This suggests something may be off with your setup.
