It seems unusual to you... do you have any programs installed for the mouse? (like changing LED patterns, etc.) The mouse you mentioned has a tiny OLED display showing stats that might influence CPU activity while it reads those values.

SteelSeries Engine works, but using the mouse without installation still causes problems. I've tested another mouse before, but it didn't resolve the issue. Any advice would be helpful.
