Hey there! Your setup sounds solid, but those temps are definitely a concern. Overclocking can stress components, and even if it’s been a while, temperature spikes might point to a need for better cooling. The Dutch weather could be a factor, but the real issue is likely the thermal paste wearing off or the heat dissipation not keeping up. Consider replacing it soon or checking your case/fan setup.

What voltage levels? Ambient conditions also influence thermals, particularly at higher altitudes. Feel free to adjust and reposition the cooler accordingly.

Unless your surrounding temperatures have risen by 20-25°C more recently than they did four to five months prior, there seems to be an issue.

Unless your room temperatures increased by 25°C (which seems unlikely), this isn't typical. What kind of thermal paste were you using, and how long had it been there? Another potential issue could be the TIM beneath the IHS, as Haswell CPUs like your 4670K used a poor-quality paste—perhaps it has degraded. Have you inspected your cooler for any dead or damaged fans/pumps?

If your cooler is an all-in-one model, it might be malfunctioning as well. The 25°C temperature variation between seasons isn’t unexpected.

I opted for a budget-friendly option locally, but the new aftermarket cooler is performing well.

It might just be the thermal paste. Try a high-quality one such as an MX4 or NH-H2/1 and reinstall the cooler.
