Hi, I have a GT 710 with a 2GB DDR3 RAM and an i7-3770 processor. Over the past couple of days I've noticed my PC frequently crashes or drops frames during gameplay. It seems like performance plummets from around 70 to 30 or lower. In Task Manager it shows maximum GPU usage at 100% and only about 0.6GB of VRAM is being used out of the full 2GB. I usually play in lower resolution settings since I care more about frame rate than visual quality, but my FPS still drops instead of improving. Can you help me figure out what's causing this issue?
The system operates with full GPU utilization, indicating optimal performance. The GT 710 tends to run slowly mainly due to texture resolution. If your VRAM isn't fully used, the problem isn't limited VRAM—it's the card's inherent slowness. Be sure to specify the games you're playing and the settings being used.
CSGO :- Settings: 720x720 (16:10) or 960x720 (4:3), performance matters most. Everything else is at its lowest except Multicore Rendering which is enabled. I also forgot to mention that I overclocked it—reaching up to 300Mhz for memory and core clocks, which seems like the highest I found. Could this be the reason for some GPU issues? Now I’ve uninstalled MSI Afterburner. Also, whenever a bot or player enters my field of view, my game starts lagging, going from 60 to 30s or even 20s...
