You're experiencing lower performance than expected on your Dell laptop with an Intel i7-1165G7 processor. Despite a base speed of 1.69 GHz, the system often runs below that during stress tests, especially in CPU-heavy games like Minecraft. The issue might be related to power settings or thermal throttling. I've attached some reference images for your review. You haven't found much in the advanced power options, so checking basic settings or adjusting them might help. Let me know if you need further guidance!

I'll look for power-related drivers and check for BIOS updates.

I looked for recent updates and reviewed the BIOS settings for power management, but didn’t find any changes. After updating the BIOS, it still didn’t seem to make a difference.

It seems you're considering reaching out to Dell support. Would you like more details about how to contact them?

I checked the BIOS and discovered an ultra performance setting, which is causing the clock speed to spike up to around 4GHz. Tsk.
