Process failure occurred.
Process failure occurred.
Yesterday I installed a 500gb NVMe on my AsRock B450 motherboard. After the setup, my computer began showing a bluescreen and displaying a Critical Process Died message. When I removed the drive, it kept freezing. I attempted to reset the drive but that didn’t help. I can reach my home screen but it crashes after a short time. I recently purchased a new 4TB hard drive, which also displayed the same error when installing Windows. This situation has never occurred before, and I’m unsure what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated.
Verify if your NVMe SSD needs special firmware and look it up on the manufacturer's site.
It’s best to add only the new NVMe drive and try a clean Windows setup. If that succeeds, the problem likely lies with your previous installation—just move your files to the new drive or restart with a fresh install if needed. If the issue persists after a full reset, it suggests damage to the NVMe unit or another component during initial setup.
