Professionals, I'm connected to his wireless network using an adapter card, as running an Ethernet cable from the router to my home would have been frowned upon by my family. Lately, I've faced some issues with my connection—constant minute-per-minute packet loss and significantly reduced speeds compared to before. What do these signs indicate? Could my adapter be failing, or is there a problem on the network side?

Have you considered switching the wireless channel? It might be interference from another network nearby.
