Hey there, just setting up a PC with Windows 7 Pro pre-installed from Dell. I managed to install most updates except for KB3124275 and KB2706045. I ran the Windows update diagnostic tools and reset the update module, but it still doesn’t work. I also downloaded updates manually and tried them, but they failed again. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I remember having similar problems before, but I don’t recall the solution then. Thanks!
Discovered a solution. Needed to execute the Windows update readiness tool, which revealed some damaged registries. Removing those restored the turn on/off feature panel and after rebooting, IE8 transitioned smoothly to IE11, with all other updates installing correctly.
