In short, I own a basic Chinese microphone that’s been reliable for years across various setups. Recently, I got new components for a Ryzen build: a Ryzen 5 5600X and an ASUS PRIME B450-PLUS motherboard. All other parts like RAM, GPU, and power supply have been swapped from my old i3-10100f. The system runs smoothly, but the mic doesn’t respond unless connected to specific ports—especially those near the Ethernet connector. In Ubuntu, the logs show failed enumeration, and it only works on certain ports. It also behaves normally on the wired CPU ports I tested. I’ve tried BIOS updates, disabling C-states, turning off XHCI, and refreshing chipset drivers. The HDD visibility issues in OS or BIOS are still pending tomorrow. I’m not ready to order a replacement just yet; maybe there’s another fix I missed.
It seems the device driver hasn’t kept up with the latest chipset. That makes sense if it’s outdated Chinese software. The company might no longer exist to provide updates. Fixing it from the manufacturer side could be difficult. I’d consider using an alternative method and maybe contact them directly. It should be straightforward.
