Discussions about USB ports and computer shutdowns. Recent CPU upgrade to 5800 caused freezing and random shutdowns. Frequent "USB Port Power Surge" alerts appeared even without devices connected. Five back ports off the motherboard are nonfunctional. Previous troubleshooting steps included driver updates, BIOS updates, Event Viewer checks, and log creation.

Based on your budget, the optimal long-term choice seems to be available. I recommend buying from a seller offering returns in case changing motherboards doesn’t solve your issue. Good luck!
