I’m assisting a friend with setting up Ubuntu 20.04 on their HP Pavilion 15-cs0xx laptop. It boots normally but blocks the standard installation, warning about disabling Intel Rapid Storage Technology. The BIOS doesn’t show any Intel RST option. I don’t have direct access to the machine, but I’m trying to help via Discord. This isn’t something I’ve encountered before installing Linux, so let’s explore possible solutions together.

Check the BIOS boot settings for RAID references, then turn it off or switch to AHCI if possible.

Boot settings menu is available, but no RAID or AHCI choices are visible. The higher-level menus seem empty.
