Problems with the standard controller in Bazzite
Hey there, so I’ve been looking for a way to skip the annoying bloatware that tracks my info. I also downloaded the Steamos version of Legion GO S and really like it. I formatted one of my disks and installed Bazzite on it. If it works out, maybe I’ll replace Windows entirely for my main PC—just gaming and maybe coding in Python.
I stumbled on a problem though: some generic controllers (like Gamesir Nova Lite) get flagged by Bazzite as hidden gamepads. They work fine outside games, but inside they’re unresponsive. I can set up custom mappings, but it’s not working in-game. I’m comfortable with Linux a bit, but not an expert. Any ideas on how to make Bazzite recognize these controllers properly?
Best,
Regards!
ProtonDB is an excellent reference, worth exploring before purchasing or installing a game since it frequently offers helpful advice and settings to consider. Additionally, try protonupqt for alternative versions not included in the standard release, which may include patches or better compatibility fixes.
I’m sure about it, I really enjoy bazzite so far. I think I’ll stick with it as the main OS and keep Windows in a 256GB partition on another disk for when I need to use it. I might stop using OneDrive and switch to Dropbox instead, and I’ll cancel all my Microsoft subscriptions.
