I purchased an LSI 6Gbps SAS HBA 9200-81 IT Mode ZFS FreeNAS unit along with 2*SFF-8087 SATA drives. I thought it would function like a GPU and simply plug it in. Instead, it emits multiple beeps, the green LED lights up, but then it fails to boot. I disabled secure boot and enabled legacy devices, yet the issue persists. I also tried re-seating my RAM. My HP 82F2 motherboard has this drive connected via the SAS controller, with the operating system installed on another drive.
