Problems with the RTX 2080 crashing during use.
For a short while after using my computer, especially during gameplay like Elden Ring, my screens shut down. I suspect the drivers might be failing. The solution I’ve tried so far is lowering my GPU’s clock speed with MSI Afterburner, but I’m hoping there’s a better way to get my 2080 to perform optimally. I’ve also reinstalled the drivers and even reset Windows, yet the issue persists. Could you help me identify the root cause?
Current conditions are typical at standard speeds, not just underclocked settings.
I don't have a power supply unit. Could you clarify which one you're asking about?
The problem occurs in older driver versions. Are you using two distinct power cables from the PSU to the GPU instead of one that divides them? Also, are there any cable extensions involved?

it turns out i only have one cable that splits on my GPU. I don’t have any spare cables, and the one i need is probably stored somewhere because i’m moving houses, so i won’t be able to fix it in the near future.
Have you verified for any exposed wires or connections that might be damaging the computer?
