I have a Dell laptop (model P17E) running Windows 10. I can easily boot Linux from an external drive. This morning I tried to switch back to Windows, but it kept prompting for automatic repairs. It seemed normal, then I saw a message saying Windows Defender was offline. After turning it off, the system worked fine without secure boot enabled. I’m a bit concerned about my device now.
