I recently purchased a Ryzen 7 3800X processor and am trying to install it on an ASUS ROG Stryx B450-F motherboard. I'm encountering some problems. First, the fan starts spinning for about three seconds before stopping and restarting again within three seconds. The LEDs are functioning correctly, but the fan seems to stop unexpectedly. When I connect the fan to the CHA_FAN1 port it works fine, but not when inserted into the CPU slot. Additionally, the board displays an orange light that turns red multiple times before booting into BIOS. Once in setup, it indicates the CPU fan is unavailable. Please assist me.

The computer won't start? Have you checked your BIOS settings?

The system starts up via BIOS, but on the motherboard it shows red and orange flashes repeatedly before launching. Access to the main window isn’t possible because the CPU fan isn’t connected to the CPU fan port.

I found that connecting the chassis fan to the CPU fan port helps Windows start correctly. Would this affect the performance of the built-in Wraith fan? Also, why does the motherboard display red and orange lights before power-up?

The stock cooler is functioning properly. The fan curve includes a zero setting that activates frequently due to temperature changes. Modify the fan curve to remove the zero-speed option, and it should cease operating. This caused some frustration.
