System began crashing during startup and redirects to Windows repair mode, but no options function. BIOS recognizes the 500GB SSD but not the NVMe drive. After giving up, I used a USB installation media for a fresh Windows setup, yet it still fails to detect any drives. In console mode, diskpart only shows the USB intended for Windows installation. I added another USB and installed SATA drivers for my motherboard, but detection remains absent. Is there anything further possible or is the hardware beyond repair? Also note, boot time has increased to 5-10 minutes during BIOS or repair screen access. Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B560M-A SSD: WD Blue 500GB NVMe: Crucial 1TB *all components ~1 year old*

I completed a secure erase in the BIOS and it’s now being recognized. I’m proceeding with installing Windows, though there’s still no indication of activity from the NVMe drive. At least it’s functioning now, which eases my concerns.

This situation resembles a BIOS problem but could also stem from memory-related issues. Once inside the BIOS, can you operate the system as expected? If the SSDs were unstable, would the system function differently without any storage devices connected? Also, what happens if you install Linux on a USB drive and boot from it?
