Was last night testing Skyrim SE and it runs smoothly for me. However, I noticed the audio felt off. When focusing on other characters, their dialogue sounds muffled and unclear, but when I shift my gaze or change direction, their voices come through clearly. Initially, I checked speakers and connections—everything seemed fine. Then I tried other games to confirm it wasn’t specific to Skyrim. No problems found. Has anyone else experienced this? From what I understand, the audio settings in the game don’t seem to be the cause. It appears to be a clean install with no mods active at the moment.

The Special Edition is experiencing audio problems because it now uses compressed files instead of the previous uncompressed ones.

That's really disappointing, but good news is there might be updates coming soon, and it's not just relying on players to fix things.
