So.... You went from a 8600K to a 1600? You went backwards in IPC, only gained thread count. Essentially a downgrade. Anyhow. Can you list the memory part number please?

This platform is designed for my secondary PC with an I5 3570k and DDR3. My own setup uses the 8600k. The part number I found matches a DIMMS model from a local hardware store—CMK16GX4M2A2400C16. It’s for the DIMMS currently installed on that system.

Clear the CMOS on the board. Those should post at the default 2400MHz.

Hi there, I’m planning to try it out. I chatted with a friend about it, and it seems there’s a beta BIOS installed from when he was using his 3rd gen Ryzen. I’ll update it later this week or over the weekend to check if it makes a difference.
