You're experiencing a reset of your RAM speed setting in the BIOS despite having confirmed compatibility. This could happen due to power-saving features, firmware updates, or hardware limitations. Try checking for BIOS updates, ensuring stable power delivery, or temporarily disabling any overclocking tools to see if the issue persists.

I don’t have a specific RAM kit on hand; I can provide details about models like the Corsair Vengeance series or Kingston HyperX. Regarding your settings, you’re adjusting the frequency to 3600MHz and likely enabling XMP profiles.

I'm using XMP with a ROG BIOS that has DOCP support. Everything seems to be set up correctly. My RAM is Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL DDR4 at 3600MHz, with four 8GB modules installed.

I determined the configuration by checking the RAM modules and their version numbers. If you have two different versions, it could be the cause. The 3200MHz speed might be too low for your setup. Also, the Strix B450F board isn’t known for a great memory layout, even with two 2DIMMs, so a 4DIMM at 3600MHz may not work well.

I purchased two identical kits, assuming they matched perfectly. However, when I tried running at 3200MHz and lower speeds, the issue persisted—systems reset immediately after booting. Could this mean my BIOS is outdated or that the RAM sticks themselves are faulty?

It might stem from a BIOS issue, but confirming the RAM matches is faster than trying various BIOS versions to see which works best. Memory makers adjust ICs based on availability, so a 3600MHz CL18 could switch from Samsung C dies to Hynix DJR depending on what's in stock.

I verified the RAM and confirmed all four modules are version 5.30. I grouped them by serial numbers, restarted, adjusted the settings, and resolved the problem temporarily. Thanks for the assistance!
