I own eight sticks of 8x4 GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RAM, rated for 3200 MHz. By default the BIOS sets the clock to 2133MHz, but pushing it higher than 2600 causes instability and crashes under stress. I’m unsure what works best since I aim for performance close to the specs. XMP isn’t enabled, not sure if changing it helps. My CPU is an overclocked I7-5960x at 3.7 GHz, stable at 60°C during full synthetic load. The BIOS auto-manages voltages. Any advice would be appreciated.

It really matters. You can't simply increase the clock speeds without considering the timing and voltage requirements. XMP serves as a setting specifically designed for boosting RAM performance, handling all these aspects automatically. Just turn it on.

Intel introduced XMP to enable overclocking beyond the official limits in a controlled manner.
