You're experiencing poor Wi-Fi and Ethernet performance on your Asus Strix B560 G gaming motherboard. The Intel i225-V chip is reportedly problematic. While you have 1,200 Mbps at home, your wired connection drops to around 500 Mbps. Downloading large games is frustrating, especially since you've updated firmware and drivers. It seems the issue lies in selecting the right network card. I've searched online but haven't found a clear solution—anyone have insights or recommendations on which cards work best for this setup?

I'm checking how fast data travels. Other gadgets on the same network receive different speeds, and I need to know the exact connection rate of the network interface card.

I keep testing speeds just like always, using Steam, Uplay, Origin. The Asus board feels much slower than my MSI Z490 gaming PC with Wi-Fi and an I9 10850K over Wi-Fi—8 to 900+ Mbps. With a hardwired connection I hit 1,000+ Mbps. The Asus B560G on Wi-Fi shows 2.5Gb through LAN and Wi-Fi AX, just like my MSI board without any problems. Using the Technicolor CGM4331 modem.

Check the connection on your local network and confirm the device it's connected to.

technicolor cgm4331 modem I'm at work til 9pm so I can't physically troubleshoot at the moment I've even used the msi board plugged into a Linksys re7000 range extender via Ethernet and pulled over 800mbps. There's an issue with this Intel i225-v and I cant find a fix
