problems with hdmi soundbar on pc
i have a soundbar connected directly to the rear I/O HDMI port on my motherboard. it functions perfectly, getting recognized by windows instantly and never causing any issues—like as if the screen was turned off and only audio passed through. but recently after updating the newest NVIDIA driver, the entire screen went black. after a while, i restarted the pc, but both monitors connected via the DP port stopped working completely. even when i plugged one of them into the motherboard DP port, ran DDU, and rolled back to the previous driver, the problem persisted. if i used the HDMI cable for either the motherboard or graphics card, both screens went black without any signal. unplugging the HDMI cable didn’t help; it seems a hard restart is needed for them to work again. however, when the HDMI cable was connected, i could still see the M.UI boot logo before windows started and the Windows Advanced Troubleshooter appeared if i restarted too many times. this suggests either windows or the NVIDIA driver might be corrupted, causing these issues. please help me resolve this.
