Problems with GTA V and stuttering issues
I'm working with a rig designed for high performance, but I'm encountering serious stuttering problems—especially when driving or using the pause menu. It's more noticeable in single-player mode and feels like a slight FPS drop of half a second. I've adjusted the NVIDIA 3D settings and refreshed my hard drive, which helped a bit but not significantly. I've reduced shadows and textures to check if that improves things, though the effect is minimal. My setup includes an GTX 770 ACX, 6GB RAM, a WD Black 1TB, and an i5 3350P at 3.1 GHz. Recently, I noticed stuttering during combat in Witcher 3, likely due to the game's high demand.
Your card issue seems linked to Nvidia's support for the Kepler architecture. It looks like you might have just updated your drivers. The green team is reportedly planning a new driver, but it's still uncertain whether it will cover non-Maxwell cards. Keep an eye on things, but don't expect immediate fixes.
I checked and confirmed it. I’m hoping for an update soon. I’ll try a new driver install just to test—seems my friend’s 960 runs smoothly at 60-70 FPS on high-med, no stutter, while mine stutters heavily at 70-90 FPS with the same settings.
It seems like Nvidia is engaging in some questionable corporate practices.
